New features for time recording
The option "Project selection" under "Agency > Settings > Options > Time recording" is now called "Time recording according to project status" and has also been adapted: Previously, the option only influenced the project selection in time recording so that projects with a certain status could not be selected for recording times. Now it is additionally prevented for projects with such a status that existing time recording entries can be adjusted, deleted or created in other ways (e.g. by the functions "Copy to" or "Move to"). This motivates employees to record their times promptly - also to avoid absenteeism.
Employees are booking time on a project that has already been invoiced and no one notices? With the extended settings for PROAD time recording, you can now prevent your company from wasting time in this way even more effectively.
You can also control the workflow for approving recorded times in even more detail: The new user right "Own time records are automatically approved" has been implemented for the area "Time recording". The new right can be found under "Admin > User group rights > Rights list > Project > Time recording" and is available from the user level "Time registration". The prerequisite for this is that the module "Approve time recording" is licensed. If the new right is activated, time entries that a user records for himself are automatically approved. In the previous versions, the automatism was part of the right "Approve time entries". As of this version, the approval process is now divided into two rights. This also means that the right "Approve time entries" alone no longer ensures that own time entries are automatically approved when they are created.
In principle, you can use the "Approve time recording" module to determine whether recorded times should be approved by another person (project manager, supervisor, financial accounting/invoice creator). In this way, you can set up individual workflows for the charging of times to customers.
