Absence widget with new features
Are you in the process of implementing new work working models or have you already done so successfully? We have now implemented the new requirement "work where you want" in PROAD. The absence widget has also received some more new features.
The absence widget has been completely reworked and now also displays location-independent work. Among other things, we have introduced the new absence type "working elsewhere", which you may already know from applications such as Outlook. Whether in your home office, in co-working space or as a digital nomad at the other end of the world: if you work out of the office, you simply create a new appointment (in the calendar or in one of the to-do lists) and set the new absence type under "Show as". The entry will then be highlighted in all places. In addition, such absences are also displayed in the absence widget on the dashboard. This shows at a glance that the colleague is active and available, but is not in the office. The animated GIF (see below) shows all functions in a compact form:
But that's not all: The absence widget no longer only displays absences of today for the entire organization, but can also be set individually.
- Display of today's absences and the next 2, 7 or 30 days (if an absence is within the set period, it is displayed).
- Display absences of all employees or selected teams
In order to meet the requirements for the protection of personal data and the principle of data economy, new settings have also been integrated into PROAD in the "Absence" widget. A completely new dialog allows you to set whether absences such as vacation, illness and appointments (outside the office) are displayed as such or whether the respective employee is only displayed neutrally as "absent". The setting can be made individually for each type of absence.
